Restorative Yoga
Restorative Yoga is known as the "Art of Relaxation". Yoga poses are uniquely designed to support you in your surrender to full relaxation, letting go life's stresses in the body and mind.
Benefits of Restorative Yoga include:
Pelvic Floor Yoga
The pelvic floor, which is made up of three interwoven layers of muscles, is the foundation that supports the "building blocks" of our being which influences how we hold ourselves while standing, sitting, walking, etc. The state of the pelvic floor directly impacts how our body functions on a day-to-day basis which can either maintain health or create imbalance which can lead to a multitude of issues such as urinary or fecal incontinence, pelvic pain, decreased sexual desire or changes in sexual functioning. Our pelvis is a "life map" of all our traumas, anxieties and fears. Our posture and the way we sit, stand, breathe and walk are all a reflection of what is happening to us as well as what has happened to us. Pelvic Floor Yoga can assist you with greater self-awareness with breath and movement, identify and correct imbalances in the pelvic region and provide a framework of yoga practices to assist with relaxing or strengthening the pelvic floor muscles.
Partner Yoga
Partner Yoga is a fun and loving way to connect with a friend, child or intimate partner and go deeper with your yoga practice. Similar to Acro Yoga which combines yoga and acrobatics, Partner Yoga can build strength and improve balance through supporting and assisting one another in poses. Successful practice requires concentration, connection, communication and trust between partners.
